Water management in a physical plan

The Master's thesis responds to the current challenge of the Czech landscape - reflecting its adaptation to climate change. At the local level, according to Czech legislation, the instrument forming the landscape should be primarily the physical plan, which was therefore selected as the subject of interest for this work. The work examines the possibilities of the physical plan in the field of water management by means of a case study focused on five municipalities in Vysocina region. The aim of this work is to verify whether spatial planning in the Czech environment responds to climate change, and thus whether it participates in responsible landscape water management. Firstly, the work analyzes the expected climate changes, their impact on the Czech landscape and approaches of society to these changes. Another part of the work is devoted to spatial planning, its tools and possibilities in the formation of landscape. In the practical part of the work, two qualitative research methods are used. The first is a semantic analysis of municipal spatial plans, the second chosen method are semi-structured interviews with representatives of public administration. Landscape planning study as a tool for physical planning

The diploma thesis focuses on the new tool Landscape planning study for the municipality with extended competence. The main aim of this work is to find out, how Landscape planning study can be used, who can use it and how it may change the landscape. The thesis uses the case study methods of three selected municipalities with extended competence, namely Votice, Humpolec and Vodňany. The theoretical part discusses the concept of landscape and anchoring in planning activities. In next part, the thesis deals with the basic forms of tools that regulate the planning and using of landscape in Czechia, focusing mainly on spatial planning. Furthermore, the thesis deals with models that currently affect space planning, namely top-down and bottom-up models. Two basic hypotheses of the diploma thesis are set based on theoretical frameworks. There are two qualitative research methods used in the practical part of the thesis. The buildable areas in the physical plan of Klatovy during the period 1994-2014

The thesis is focused on buildable areas of the town of Klatovy which represent main trends of potencial urban development in the district. The first aim of the thesis is to analyze the development of buildable zone of the town of Klatovy from 1994 to 2014. The second aim is to find out causes why another buildable areas were established in the physical plan of Klatovy in the period 1994-2014. To achieve these aims, firstly, an analysis of buildable areas was performed to evaluate a process of establishment and a process of using town buildable areas. Secondly, directed interviews were conducted with representatives of public administration as key persons of physical planning. The results of the thesis show that there was an excessive amount of established buildable areas which weren't utilized to a large extent. The main reasons for establishing new buildable areas during the assessed period related to the requirements of landowners and to an open attitude of town representatives to their approval. For better understanding of the spatial planning system will shortly realize socioeconomic analysis of Finland on which will be connected the characteristic of spatial planning system in Finland with its historical development and legislative framework. The aim of the graduation thesis is to point out strengths and weaknesses of the spatial planning system in Finland.
Comparison of the model of spatial planning in Sweden with the model used in the Czech Republic

Bachelor thesis Comparison of the model of spatial planning in Sweden with the model used in the Czech Republic describes the planning models in these two countries. In the case of Sweden, it is a model of spatial planning. The Czech planning model is divided into two different units -- regional and urban planning. The work is divided into four separated parts. The first part is devoted to the characteristics of Sweden in terms of socio-economic structure, which is the basis for the description of the Swedish planning model. Another part focuses on models of planning in both countries. The main part of this work consists of the comparison of the two models; the spatial / territorial and the regional planning. Furthermore, the project will discuss the determination of identical and different features and will also describe the advantages and disadvantages of the Swedish model of planning in relation to the Czech model.

Preliminary detail a main factors influencing the spatial planning of the territory of the both lands. The main issue of the graduation theses is focusing on Denmark and its detailed characterization how the planning authorities prepare a development plans and carry out whole development strategies in Denmark.
